At Single Mothers Striving for Success (SMSS), we are passionate about building better futures for single mothers and their families. We offer free, transformative support services focused on housing, career development, financial literacy, mental health, and childcare. Our goal is simple — to help women rise and thrive.
We serve as a safe haven, a resource hub, and a community. Through a strong network of partnerships and compassionate programming, we meet single mothers where they are — and guide them toward lasting independence and success.

We accept monetary donations, as well as in-kind items like furniture, diapers, personal hygiene supplies, children’s clothing, and more.

Yes, we offer utility stipends, housing referrals, and partnerships with shelters and transitional housing programs.
While we are based in Philadelphia, we welcome inquiries from single mothers throughout Pennsylvania and work with regional partners to expand our reach.
